    The Rocky Mountain Bass Slam is back in action for its 11th year. A True weekend of Bass Celebration, the main event will take place October 20th in Denver, Colorado with a host of incredible bassists including two heavy hitters.

    ìIn 2019 the RMBS will be featuring two national bass performers."SuperFunk Powerhouse Doug Johns and Cody Wright".Doug Johns is known for his raw presence, energy, and all-around crowd-wowing prowess. Doug has had the privilege of working with such icons as Victor Wooten, Buddy Miles, Chuck Rainey, The LA Mass Choir, Aaron Lindsey, and many others.î
    Cody Wright is known for his virtuosity on the electric bass using picking, tapping, and fingerstyle, along with his genre bending style and adaptability.
    Cody has toured nationally & internationally with:
    Eric Gales, Ghost-Note feat. MonoNeon, Jonathan Scales Fourchestra, Ron Holloway Band, Albert Cummings, Everyone Orchestra, Jeff Sipe & Billy Cardine, Jazz is Phish and James Brown Dance Party.

    The Slam will also feature local bass artists Paul Rogalski, Glenn Tapia, Jodie Woodward, Hillary Freeman, Kirwan Brown, Noah Mast, Jeff Andrews, Bryan Tessema, Matt Skellenger, Andy Irvine and some other guests.

    Most of the performances will be bass duos and some soloists.All paying respects to the bass in different styles of music from Rock to Funk to Jazz to Reggae and more.

    The Rocky Mountain Bass Slam takes place Sunday, October 20th at 1 pm at a new music venue called THE VENUE in North Denver, Colorado.

    There will also be a Bass Clinic/Hang at High Noon
    on Saturday October 19th at Mojo's Music Academy in Longmont Colorado with
    Doug Johns,Cody Wright and Andy Irvine.
    Attendees will learn about grooving and soloing from these master players.
    There will also be time to demo some bass products from our kind sponsors.
