Is the control plate black or chrome? I can't tell from the picture.

This one will be mine soon, and I'm thinking about going for a look like yours.

    Nice basses guys!!!
I've got to get me one of these "gems".

    I've got a question though...

I replaced my stock Fender '57 RI pickup with the Nordstrand P pickup. Would the Fender '57 pu fit right into the SX?

    Thanks. Keep the pics coming:bassist:
  8. Both the Control plate and the pickup cover are black.

There's another "Show your SX" thread kicking around with loads of photos. It's even fairly recent. I'll play anyway.

Sold this about 5 months ago, now I'm wishing I had it back. This bass was incredible

Here's mine...going for the "stealth" look. My black bridge should be here in a couple days and then this baby will be complete, unless I decide to paint the headstock black at some point. These aren't the best pics...were taken with my cell phone.

That looks great!!! Hopefully you have a lot of cleaning products, as black instruments tend to be magnets for fingerprints.......:help:

Yeah I'm used to that...now that I'm selling my Washburn T24, every instrument I have is black! 2 black basses, a black acoustic guitar and a black electric guitar...and 2 black cars...haha. You'd think I like the color or somethin, tho I hardly ever wear it.

Sure it is! Some might call it absence of color I guess but you still have to apply something to make it black, hence "coloring" it since it's not that way normally.

This is my SX SJP-62, it has become my main player. The only changes are: dunlop straplocks, and Steve Hairris flatwounds
