THE Samuel Adams appreciation thread

Agreed. Sam Adams is my favorite as well. My favorite seasonal ale is the Summer Ale. I love it when it starts being served again in bars. It is a very refreshing beer. However, there is not one Sam Adams beer that I don't like.

 

I'll drink it, but not my favorite. I'll go with a Boston Lager if available.

 

I like the Honey Porter. It tastes just like the stuff I used to homebrew. I can drink any of their stuff on tap, it's all good.

 

Cherry Wheat, Spring Ale, Light, and Boston Lager.

 

The cherry wheat is oddly a treat ever now and again.

Sam Adams makes some great beer. I especially love their Cream Stout. It's so tasty.

Sam Adams use to be so much better back in the early 90s and, I believe anyway, that they started farming out the brewing to more local brewers to save on shipping. I was up in Boston in 2003 and the Sammy at Fenway was great, but back here in New York it just isn't the same.
My choice though is still the original lager.

 

Boston Lager (on tap), Scotch Ale, Black Lager and Cream Stout!

I love me some Sammy Adams!!! regular ol' for me but cherry wheat is a delightful treat every now and again. What I don't get is why every Bar here in Ohio sells it as an import?!!! maybe re-label it as a premium beer or just sell it at regular domestic price!!
