Playing with GK Backline Cabs (410 and 115) I am looking for a low cost amp.

Here are the options I am flirting with:

    Behringer BX4500H Ultrabass
    Gallien-Krueger Backline 600
    Ashdown MAG 300H
    Ampeg B2RE

    Any thoughts?

    Gracias,
    Dan

  2. go to ebay and find an old peavey bass head for about 100 bucks

Definately the GK or the Ashdown, depending on what you like. The others are just not too great. The Berhinger sounds good, but many reliability problems have occurred and its hit or miss, and the Ampeg just doesn't sound good to me and isn't too powerful.

If GK is your sound, you can get one for cheap.

From what your price range seems to be though, I'd suggest the Kustom Groovebass. Search it. It's $500 for a whole lotta power and some reasonably flexible tone.
