The secret of Stradivarius?

I would like to see a comparison of Strads vs other Strads, I would gamble that the density will vary greatly, just as so many other factors did.

One dealer gave me the best answer I've heard:
"Strad's secret: spend your life making violins".

I'm still a fan of the guy who claims it was chicken magic, that the violins were once covered in a copious layer of chicken poop and feathers, which have dropped off over the years. His home shop violins look like they were tarred (w/ ka-ka) and feathered. He is most definitely mad as a hatter.
