how do you read old serial numbers of old fenders and squires?
The serial numbert is JV62071 its a white Squire Precision bass. (japan) im trying to find the year. Thanks

god dam, my life is horibble! i cant belive your number is that wonderfull! MY god!! But you know what they say about the size of the mans serial number..... thats right, small in the pants . Loser.
it's an 82-84 model, my guess - according to the FENDER japanese models.. NOt sure baout the Squire.
Puttin' on the sarcasm a little thick huh? And just for the reference people with big units (Schlongs) did go off about how small others are, the tiny ones are insecure about there size and go off on rants like yours, I never did like emo either.

Yes, 1982-84. JVs are the only truly collectible Squier basses.
Any one Who knows where and when a Squire P-bass with
nr SQ12880 is built?
It has "made in Japan" under the loggo, but can I trust that
