Recent threads about getting over GAS and being satisfied made me realize it isn't necessarily over for some of us. Though I am now at a point that I don't need to buy or have room for more, I remember what someone called Leo Fender, The inveterate tinkerer. I made a living building and fixing things all my life, and it's almost irresistible to me to build, assemble or modify basses, even if it is just a beater or something strange and different. I made a pawn shop raid today and they had a really nice Squier P bass for $110. Naturally I started thinking of all the things I could do to have a new project on the bench, just for fun and giggles. I passed, I already have 3 other projects I'm dinking around with. Anybody else who can't resist inventing a new bass just to see what happens ?
