It's also a fair idea to have a good attorney on retainer- I recommend both divorce *and* criminal in case of spousal attack.

Just bought this bass on CL for $100. A 2000 MIJ Ibanez Soundgear SR800. Active pickups. Never really considered this bass until I saw it pop up on CL for this price.
I'm really blown away by the sound, I didn't expect it to be this good- had I known, I would have bought one years ago.
Awesome bass that gets easily mistaken for one of the cheaper GSR200s and priced as such. If you see one for cheap, I highly recommend trying it.
No finish issues with the bass, it's just a reflection.

I made a thread but thought I might as well post my ramblings in here as well!
I came to the realisation today that, out of all the basses I've owned (there has been many) I've only truly regretted selling four - and they were all Ibanez Soundgear basses.
Mid 90's (I think) SR1300 with USA Barts
SR505 with maple fret board - I really loved that bass, my biggest regret is trading it.
SR600 light ash with the nicest grain I've ever seen on any bass, and was an amazing instrument
SR300 that I got for £100 on eBay and used for drop B tuning in a band I joined - far better bass than it had a right to be for that money
Also had an SR500 that I didn't really let myself get to "know", but that was a nice bass too.
Anyway, after realising this, I decided I want another SR bass, so I put a deposit down on a new transparent blue SR370 this afternoon. Really nice bass, played great - no relief though so could do with an adjustment when I get it, and I'll oil the board of course
looking forward to paying it off and getting my mitts on it.

This is my old bass! I really miss it. The current owner has taken those Barts out and replaced with something lesser (imo) which is a real shame.
This totally destroys the idea you have to play a mega-expensive bass to sound amazing!

This bass looks killer! I wish I could find the 5 string version of this (SR 1305)...
and my SR5005 prestige, again with an 18v OBP3 in it. have to say the original pre amp was awful, as it was in the sr 500 above, and since I bought my first prestige - the SR3000 here, the electronics have gone downhill somewhat. still, IMHO, the soundgear has always been the best bass money can buy. I would love to have more, but kids and wife says no
I've got an SR1405 that is amazing. I'm sure the 6 string version is just as great.
