Have a
SR1300SB with Nordstrand™ Big Break pickups no issues yet
Hey all. Just wanted to reach out for a little help with something terrible that happened...
Had an MR4 bridge break where the ball is captured on my SR1206 this morning while changing strings and found another that's bent upwards. Terrible timing, but I've got other basses I can use for gigs this weekend.
Has anyone else had this happen and know if the parts are available anywhere? I got an email back from Ibanez saying no longer available and waiting on something from Drums Etc. to see if they've got any stock, but maybe one of you out there has some advice...
Dead StringsAnyone have a SR Premium (1000 level) with nordy pickups have an occasional issue where the D and G string lack amplification? What could be the cause? Perhaps it is time to do some upgrades?
I think it is a Monorail IV. In gold the product number is: 2BB1MR4G
I replaced mine with black ones, and I bought it from Meinl Music (as I live in Austria). No idea if they ship outside the EU tho and how much that would be. They still got the gold ones in stock:
IBANEZ Brücke Mono-Rail4 - für BTB1205E gold (2BB1MR4G)
Yes.SR1345 with Big Singles - no issues with D +G.
Question to you: does is happen on both Pickups?

Thanks for the bird-dog!
Has anybody else ever broken one or was this an isolated incident?

I hope it works out well! Keep in mind that this is a EU vendor. So you can sent it back (on your costs) for 14 days (in those 14 days you need to declare that you will sent it back) without stating any reasonUnfortunately they will not ship to the US. I did, however, manage to find them, supposedly in stock according to customer service, at Banzai in Germany who will ship to the US. I've ordered 4 for future-proofing... We'll see how this goes.
Copied from Main Forum Post:
Previously owned a Schecter Riot 4 (damaged and sold), TBird Pro (don't ask) and now after a year or so hiatus am looking at a cheap but decent 4 string. The SR300e seems to fit the budget for me however I'm torn over finishes.
For owners of the glossy and weathered black finish models, how is the durability? I dig the weathered black but it appears to have little protective finish am unsure which (if either) is going to be more durable. That and the Midnight Gray and Iron Pewter finishes aren't black but perhaps the coat of poly is worth.
The weathered black finish looks a lot like the finish they use on the SR500 models, which is pretty thin and wears easily (see below). I prefer the poly finishes.Copied from Main Forum Post:

North side of Dallas, but maybe hit this guy up and see if this one is still for sale....No not stuck on matte, just thought it was a less ostentatious option from zzoundsWhy zzounds? Because money is tight and I can do 12 months on anything since I've bought so much over the years from them.
Good advice, I'll check FB Marketplace first before moving ahead. FWIW I'm down in San Antonio.
