I replaced mine with black ones, and I bought it from Meinl Music (as I live in Austria). No idea if they ship outside the EU tho and how much that would be. They still got the gold ones in stock:

Unfortunately they will not ship to the US. I did, however, manage to find them, supposedly in stock according to customer service, at Banzai in Germany who will ship to the US. I've ordered 4 for future-proofing... We'll see how this goes.
Not broken, but Bent enough so that the string was barely hanging in there.
I hope it works out well! Keep in mind that this is a EU vendor. So you can sent it back (on your costs) for 14 days (in those 14 days you need to declare that you will sent it back) without stating any reason
Today I finally head the chance to measure the frequency response of the active preamp in my SR1345 bass. I already learned before this exercise that the BEQ3 Output should be flat and the VM3-Output of the preamp is somewhat more warm by cutting the highs. On my bass the jump between passive and active was a good 10 dB and the active signal is much more bass-intensive. That was clear to me just by listening to the signal. Now after seeing the response curves I can relate that behaviour to the measurements:
What you see is the blue line is the response with the bass pot fully down - an almost perfect flat line and in thes mode the difference between active and passive soundwise is almost zero. The red line is with the bass pot in the middle position which should be flat - the bass ist raised by 11.2 dB @100 Hz! The green line ist with bass pot at max position - it only adds another dB or so. Just for the record I throw in the measurement of the VM3-Output with bass pot in midposition compared with the BEQ3-Output with bass pot in midposition:
You can see the tilted trebles above 1 kHz.
Now I can exclude a malfunction of my preamps main pcb - because I ordered a new one from the distributor of Ibanez here in Germany. Both modules act exactly the same. What I can not exclude is that my bass and/or treble pot unit are somewhat faulty. I'd love to check this with replacement parts too but they are quite expensive.
What is my quintessence of all that: for the moment I now know that when I turn down the bass pot to min position I have the passive tone just buffered with the preamp. The level then is almost equal. If I want to cut bass (who does that?) I need to do it at the amp or elsewhere - not on my bass. I can live with that for the moment, but the nerd in me wants to know the full story. Everyone else ever did measurements like this on his active Ibanez preamp (built after 2015)?

For owners of the glossy and weathered black finish models, how is the durability? I dig the weathered black but it appears to have little protective finish am unsure which (if either) is going to be more durable. That and the Midnight Gray and Iron Pewter finishes aren't black but perhaps the coat of poly is worth.

Poly finishes - some love 'em, some hate 'em but there's no denying the protection aspect they offer.
Matte & oil finishes always will develop shiny spots or wear spots, so if ultimate protection is key, poly finish is the way to go, IME/IMO.
The weathered black finish looks a lot like the finish they use on the SR500 models, which is pretty thin and wears easily (see below). I prefer the poly finishes.
Thanks so much for these responses. I do wish they had a jet black with poly at zzounds but...Do you know if that type of wear is resolved in the SR300e matte finishes or just as bad? Seeing the issues with the SR500 is what initially made me hesitant on the SR300 matte.
Have you thought about looking on the used market for an SR300e or even an SR500 in a gloss finish? Are you stuck on the matte because that's what's available locally? Or is that a finish you actually prefer?

They are out there. A quick look at my local market right now shows a black SR300 for $180 and a metallic gold SR250 for $150. Both of those I could drive to within an hour or so. I don't know where you're located, so your local market may vary. I also see an SRX500 in Barstow, California for $275. Looks to be a pawn shop listing.

Why zzounds? Because money is tight and I can do 12 months on anything since I've bought so much over the years from them.

Thanks for the links. That sr305e looks nice too. At the moment its a stretch though, making zzounds the best option for me. Going to give it some consideration though first. Hopefully someone with the WB finish sees this and can give me some feedback.
