    Harris himself named Genesis bass player Mike Rutherford and Golden Earring bass player Rinus Gerritsen as the two main guys on who'm he based his playing on. Both of who'm are really driving but melodic players.

    Also Jethro Tull and Wishbone Ash, plus I'm sure Sabbath and bunch of others. But Maiden (Harris) really took the "one and-a-two and-a- rhythm and played it stronger and faster than ever before. That track is harder to maintain than one might think.
