We're rebooting this project in Spring 2014. The Stormy Weathermen plays fun original instrumental tunes that sound like surf, rock, roots, blues, gypsy and Middle Eastern styles. Nothing like it in Ukiah ... or thereabouts!

    Official website: http://www.TheStormyWeathermen.com/

Site includes a recent demo we just made of a surf/rock tune: "Road Ends In Water" plus videos from past performances.

Just had our first gig! I used the Zoom H6 to record it and created a video of one song. The music is original instrumental in a surf/rock style.

    The six inputs included:
    • Bass - Radial JDV DI
    • Guitar - Shure SM57
    • Snare - Shure SM57
    • Kick - Sennheiser MD421
    • Drum Kit Overhead - Audio-Technica AT825 stereo mic
WAV files were processed in the Presonus Studio One DAW.

Four video cameras were mounted around the band; I edited the feeds with Sony Movie Studio Platinum 13 and synchronized with the processed WAV file.

Here's a new video of a slower "movie soundtrack" type song, an original called "Hailing At The Hotel."

We just played our second gig, this one at A Taste of Downtown Ukiah (our town's annual drinking festival). Appropriately, this original tune is called "Schmaltz Liquor":
