the short scale isn't really appealing, but it's a darned fine looking bass.

comments? I'm buying my new bass soon.

Definitely a sweet looking bass....you gotta be able to get just about any sound outta that thing too, since it has 3 pups.

it's a heck of a lot nicer looking than that square, no headstock havin', yellow Hammer that Stu used to play. By the way, anyone know what the Hamm has been up to lately? I haven't heard from him since the early 90's.

darth, that was a Kubicki that Stu used to play.

BTW - I tried to reply to the email you sent me, but it was returned.

EDIT - Anyone else notice that the time is messed up? I posted this after darthspadas post, but it shows to be posted earlier than his.

he had a clinic at MI in Hollywood in 98. He was on tour with Joe Satriani and he released his new solo album Outbound in 2000. Check this album out man!

I used to own a Kubicki Xfactor and it's one of he nicest sounding basses I've played. I don't think I would ever get a yellow one like stu did though :)

I think Stud used to use a Kubicki ex-factor, designed the Stu Hamm Urge bass with Fender and used that for a while, and is now using the Stu Hamm Urge II bass. The Kubicki is a 32 inch scale bass, so Stu probably wanted the Urge to be the same 32 inch scale. But some people complained about the medium scale so Fender changed the Urge to a 34in scale and called it the Urge II. Or something like that.
