The sweetest Jazz Bass I've ever played!!

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by DryWater'Bass, May 30, 2003.

  1. I went Thursday(yesterday) to a music store, and I found this jazz bass, solid black, ivory bindind, a slightly copper look to the crome hardware...amazing action and incredible sound...a little buzzy in places, but that could've been fixed...It had a P-Bass and a J-Bass pickup in it..and It was just great...Now if I could only get the money for it...I just wanted to share this awesome expierence...It was killer!

These something about plain, black basses. None of this fancy wood stuff. Nice and plain is good once in a while :D.

Glad you had fun with her, try a search on a few other bass related forums and see what you come up with.

I played that bass about a week ago & I thought it was VERY nice also. Personally, I'm not too into the P/J configuration, though.

    You meam like this?

Weird. I thougt it would be on their site, I looked under the "Gear" link on top of the page & their was a droopdown screen that had the new equipment from the winter NAMM 2003 & it was their.

I played one unplugged for a bit and was quite impressed.

I played one at the local Geeetar Sin-ter, and I thought it was a standout instrument. I really liked the way the binding looked, but I wonder if the hard angle would get on my nerves over the course of a 3 hour gig.

All in all, though, a great sounding/playing instrument that looks pretty cool, too.

Ohhhh yeah...just like that. :D Ive seen that somewhere before nino. Is it one of your home jobs?

  8. A local store here in O town had 2 of them. I really like the way they look, but I am so use to the P and Stingray necks that when I picked it up I didnt like it a whole lot. I would have gone with different knobs as well, like black P-bass knobs.

    Yes, it is. :)

  10. i played one unplugged and enjoyed the feel, but those things are total fingerprint magnets.

  11. I think it is featured in the "NAMM show" section on Fender.com. And yes, there has been many threads about it. And yes, it is a cool bass.
