Well, if I belong in any club, it's this one. Me AND the basses.
Although 25yrs doesn't seem vintage, small grouping.

  3. I forgot to post a picture of my Hofner 500/1 apologies.

And then I realized my other basses though younger than the Hofner, were also vintage basses now.

I see my effort at a kick start has had some results. That is awesome! So, here comes my next venture into the vintage bass universe...

Pulled the trigger on this 1983 T-45

It shipped and should be here before next weekend.

    [Edit] update 4-21-2018

Picked this up at the post office late afternoon just seconds before they closed. It is like it was in a time capsule. All the chrome is spotless, not pits or blemishes. Some minor dings here and there but not very noticeable. Need to do some intonation adjustments, but other than that this thing is sweet!

    Nope. Yours is a 1968 EB2-DC. A plain D would have a sunburst finish.

My "Old Married Couple" as my kids refer to them.

Grandma (on the left) is a '69 Gibson EB-0 that suffered a serious amount of neglect and abuse before being rescued by yours truly.

Grandpa (on the right) is a '70 Gibson EB-0L that came to me in well-worn but all-original condition. Nowadays it's strung BEAD.

Two completely different instruments these are, with very distinct sonic personalities that are not all that alike regardless of their similar appearence.

Early 80's Fender Bullet Bass. Only pic I have right now. Bought it from MGR. Someone's refinishing project.

  19. My main player right now is this '57 Kay 162 Pro I purchased earlier this year from a TB member. It's one of the nicest playing and sounding hollow body basses I've played, really a joy to gig with.

Very nice. How does it compare to your Gibson EB-2 '68?
