To quote that rock sage Tom Petty. "The waiting is the
hardest part". Just got a Fender american deluxe jazz V
from Peter Parker. (good guy, maybe very good guy)
He really can't ship it till Tues. I'm dyin here! I just can't
wait. It will probably take a week to get here. I'm DYING!!
This could be my reason to live, my dance partner, my
numero uno, my baby, the bass o my dreams! I"M DYING
HERE FOR GODS SAKE!! I want it now!!!!!!!!
I guess I'll have to live with my Tyler in the meantime.

I just remembered that Emjazz is playing Scott's old Roscoe, which Emjazz is in love with. Two of my homies will be rocking Scott's old axes. Cool. I've also got a little something coming from Pedro Parker, did you know?

What have you gone and done Lawboy? I already gas over
what came out of your closet.
  4. Oh yeah, I understand, but that's not a lot...
Can you imagine what were (are) the feeling of all the people who are ordering luthiers basses and who wait between 6 and 18 months??

I'm waiting for a phone call, this afternoon. To pick up my new (from 1980, but new for me... :D ) fretless bass. Just a few hours to wait, but I really, really know what you mean, right now !!

    Oh Wilbyman! I thought I've got a wait.......but you!
And spalted even! Thats a cute piece of wood you're
    sportin there buddy.
  9. Yeah, what I told you....
When you get a custom, you have the excitment at time of order...
    Excitment when you choose woods...
Excitment when you see pics in progress (3 or 4 excitments!!)
Excitment of wait all the time
And finally, a long time after, your bass......

Just hope that it will help you to be positive....
Your wait is short, but the pleasure will be big!

It does look spalted, but it's box elder (burl?).

Not sure what the wait is, I think I ordered it July 4th or so?

I feel your pain bro'! I guess the period of time is all relative. Most of the basses that I've purchased or traded for recently have only taken a week or so to get the bass in my hands but even that short period of time sometimes seemed like an eternity. It's been about 3 years since I custom ordered a bass but I ordered a new Roscoe about 5 weeks ago and the wait is definitely tough! :help:
The hardest part is not knowing exactly when you're going to get the bass......... :crying:

The tough part was waiting 5 months for a bass that I
didn't like once it arrived. (it had problems)
