Yes. I have invented the new term "Barse". I play the "barse geetar". There is a great advantage to using "Barse" over "Bass". "Barse" can be used in many other forms for example: "Excuse me, but I am barsing right now", or: "Greetings my fellow barser, let us go barse.", or even: "I majorly barsed it out at that show last night". You can still use it in the same forms that you would use "bass" in, such as: "That barse sounds very barsey", "I play the barse/I am a barser". So fellow barsers, let us move on to Barse, the far superior term.

Pronunciation: bar-S (S as in snake), or b-arse

Thats even stupider than the way bass is pronounced...

BTW now that we are here - why do you call your instrument "base" instead of "bass"??? I think "bass" would go in the category of "pass" and "mass", and not pronounced as "bays" or "bace" :meh: I think i will start a thread about this in OT

I have started a thread called "How should "bass" be pronounced?" on Off-topic - feel free to share your ideas about that subject, too ;)

  8. i like it. but....its too much of an effort to change the name, so i think i will stick with the word "bass"

I think the term works only in certain situations. The most notable being when some drunk patron staggers up to you during your tribute to Jaco and slurrs "Play shum Skynyrd!" It is the perfect term to describe the nexus of Fender bass neck and human rectum

    ;)

In light of this new information I ask that the mods please remove this thread since it revolves around the uterly ridiculous and pointless word which we have now discovered in profanity.

Thank you for wasting my time.

    Peace
