Either I am way out of touch with my used Cort prices or that guy is. I don't see those basses selling at those prices any time soon, particularly on CL.

 

The street prices on the Cort versions of these basses has gone up about $200 since they were discontinued. I have been seeing them on ebay fairly regularly in the $700s. I think $1100 is a bit of a stretch.

I got lucky and found my Cort Axe bass hanging in a pawn shop for $150. It ain't mint, but the price was right for a bass I may use twice a year.

Sez Hoo LOL! Back in my 6-string days, I had a black Kramer Explorer thingee that I'd pull out quite often. Triple humbuckers, Floyd Rose, thru a Bassman/Marshall halfstack, no problem! Of course it was black and I kinda blended in with the whole black backline so YMMV

 

Well, there is a guy around here who plays old school country using a pointy bright red Kramer bass...so I think Cliff could probably get away with an Axe...

 

I want that Kramer version so bad I can taste it.
