Whats the low-down on these? They look awsome! I thought I liked Dolphins, but that is one mean lookin biatch. With the electronics and body, I'm sure that could be a growl monster, and rubberized body also, slaptastic!

The price is pathetic. They have Leah Randi in the BP ads promoting them, yet she never plays one. I think that says a lot
  5. what is the red line going down the headstock/neck?

    :D :D

BTW - rubberized body? I dont know what effect it will have on the sound - but i dont think it will be good.

    Dolphins look better, imo :p
  8. They reviewed one in BP a few months ago. It didn't seem like they were very impressed. Remember, Bass Player ALWAYS gives positive reviews, especially to advertisers, so when they don't sing the Hallelujah Chorus for something that is constantly advertised in their magazine, it's probably not very good.
  9. With a list price like that...
Can you say, Chapter 7 bankruptcy?
  10. I'd buy one. If they were a thenth of the price.

I have played a Basking Shark with the aluminum fingerboard and without the rubberized finish, and it was a killer bass. Great slap tone.

The red stripe is dyed maple.
  14. The rubberized coating looks very cool. The price tag doesn't.

    i'm with EMB on this.

i too played an aluminum FB version at a NAMM show.

    very nice.

i like the non gloss finish on guitars.

i think cars should have a matte finish.
