Here is a group of kids playing Rush pretty well. Notice the drummer and the very young singer
My drummer used to teach at the KC SOR, put together programs where some of the kids played public venues. I was blown away at how good some of these kids are at 12 - 16 years old. Good to see our youth carrying on.
The singer sings that track better than Geddy!
I catch the show sometimes when SOR has the kids play live. Always a good time. Some are pretty good!
I saw "Residual Kid" when they first debuted. Suprisingly they are still playing as a band thse days and doing pretty good.
Wow. Nice. thanks for sharing!
Wow, nice. I'd love to hear the board mix of that.
I wish I could play bass as good as she does!
Wow... I need to take a moment and re-think my entire life now...
This can't be. Kids aren't learning to play guitars and such any more and they don't give a rat's behind about rock bands.
Better than most musicians two or three times their age.
If there's one thing I can't abide, it's kids with more talent than me. Why don't they go back to kid's town? They need to be locked in their rooms and given more homework.*
*this comment tongue-in-cheek, and NOT serious at all
Ringers. They're actually all 35 and older.
I'd be happy to play half as well as she does.
Another bassist better than I
What's the best bass for School Of Rock?
I assume that everyone has seen this by now, but just in case...
At the old Brookdale CC Guitar shows they used to feature the kids from two music shools rocking out. These kids were phenomenal! It was reassuring to see there were kids still interested in making live music.
My daughter has done the school of rock week long summer programs the past two years. (She only sings.) First year sounded great, second year was less great. But both times she had a blast and learned a lot. I highly recommend it.
