Things needed to start on bass

    what do you think is needed to start on bass?
    a stand, tuners, cables, an amp, and a case? Am i missing anything?

    I agree with Joe, sort of. When I was about 13 years old and the Civil War was being fought, I blew up my amp and had to save up for a new one.
    Being ampless, I used to place my wooden case where it contacted the bass's body, (it was a hollow body bass), and the case resonated with the bass vibrations enough so I could get some sound. I played it everyday for months like that.

    So, that really points up the most important need - Desire

    If you have that, a bass with strings, an amp, and a cable to connect the bass and the amp are all you need to get started.

    Later, you will need a bank account. :D
