I will be using a bass overdrive pedal and a bass big muff will a get a clear sound with the 15? i don't want any rattleing sounds coming from the cab. so am i better off with a SVT 410-HLF or a B-410HLF

im new to playing bass so please be gentle

  2. 15e is a good choice, theres no tweeter which is a good thing for distortion pedals. I've cranked a VTBass through mine and everything sounded good.

SVT410HLF is has a defeatable tweater, and more of a scooped sound with lots of lows, 15e is more midrangey.

Seconded. The 15E is a great cab, and was my only cab for years. It's quite midrangey. I now have an Ashdown 210 with it and it sounds great, even when I kick on the Big Muff (with "sustain" cranked all the way up).

  4. The SVT 15E is a really nice sounding 15" cab. Some 15's play lower, some sound brighter (due to its lack of tweeter) but it has a sweet voice that sits well in the mix. I'd say go for it! I had one for years and dug it big time.

  5. my favorite 15". i've got two of them and they sound great together.

Same here, I have two and they are my fave 1x15 cabs. They are great in a band mix and together they are big.
