Thinking of making some modifications (improvements) to my two Fender Bass VI's

I'll start this thread by stating that back in 1970's I had a 1975 Fender Bass VI which was amazing. At the time I didn't have much money so I ended up letting it go.

Then some 32 years or so later I ended up getting a Custom Shop version which mirrors the early 60's version very closely. It's very similar to the first one I had except it's got dot inlays on the neck instead of block inlays. Other than that the main difference is the bridge. I suspect that at this time around Fender only had Jaguar bridges at their disposal. What I'd like to do is find one closer to the original. Anybody know of anywhere that I can get one of these?

A few months later I also purchased a 1990's CIJ version of the Bass VI. This one has a much better bridge, but the pickups seem to lack the warmth up the original and Custom Shop versions. Does anybody know what pickups would make good replacements?

I'll be curious to find out whatever experience or opinions any of you have about this.

For what it's worth, here they are. On the left is the CS, on the right is the CIJ:
