Thinking of unloading my MIM Jazz for a Brice Douglas 5

    Do you guys think this is a good idea? I have no experience with 5s, but I'm thinking about trying to get some gigs playing shows, etc. and I've had the advice given to me that if you play these shows or do studio work, it is a good idea to have a 5 as well as a 4. I also really dig Dave Matthews Band and would love to play some of the basslines and I know their bass player uses a 5.

    here's a link to a thread containing a review of the brice I did a few weeks ago.

    I've owned a MIM 5 string jazz. I'm MUCH more impressed with the Brice Douglas 5. Bear in mind I had some high frets I had to get levelled and an issue with the neck pickup but once I got all that sorted out...completely happy. Plays, feels, looks and sounds better than my MIM any day.
