    Hey Y'all,

I love my Labella Deep talkin flats, but thinking about trying TI's. Bass is a 35" scale 5'er (like a Lakland 55-94) Do I go 34" and deal with some silk in the nut, or go 36"?

These are the most expensive strings I've purchased for bass, just trying to make the right call, so I don't have to double buy. Please let me know what you think.

  2. Which set of La Bella DTF have you been using - "long scale" or "extra long scale"? The La Bella "long scale" B and E are 36.75" in winding length (ball end to silk), while the "extra long scale" B and E and 38" in winding length.

TI's "long scale" have B and E at 37", while their "extra long scale" is 1.75" longer than the La Bella at 39.75", which may end up being too long for your bass.
  3. hey lex - what did you go for in the end?
I just stuck the G string of a secondhand pack of LTF on my 55-94 and it sounded great - tempted by either a 5 string set of LTF or TI flats so any knowledge you have of what fits would be ace :)
