I stopped by Low Down Sound thinking I could drop off a preamp for repair. The door is padlocked. Looking through the window I only see 2 basses on the wall. No inventory on the floor. The display cases are empty.

There was a thread about this. The storefront is closing.

Hey Malthumb, Mikebass, KJung, Vision, and anyone else in the area, too bad LDS didn't make it. I know you all will miss hanging out there and checking out gear.

I hope you guys are in better shape than St. Louis where GC is about as good as it gets.:(

It is true, Low Down Sound - the bass-only store - has closed. However, Don Oatman will continue to build the custom Low Down Sound cabs, and may even have more time for this aspect of his work now that the store is (sadly) no more.
