Thread title is a direct quote of another TB'er. I've been here for a long time and have had nothing but good interactions/transactions and haven't been privy to any shady behavior. I'm curious as to the shenannigins people have encountered here.

Nothing shady that I've ever seen, though I can be kind of oblivious :p

Seriously... I've never been on a more polite and civilized forum, maybe that's why this is the only one I frequent (well, that and my love for bass :bassist:)

  4. Not even close. Never had a transaction that wasn't great. Never had an issue with reverb either, but yes with literally every other way to buy used music stuff online.

I've never bought anything here, but if the right item showed up I wouldn't hesitate.

Old, grumpy, opinionated, wise, dumb, redundant, shallow, giving, yep I've seen it all here.

    Shady, nope.

    So......

Will the real slim shady please stand up?

(Oh relax, you know someone was going to eventually say it.)

Don't think TB is shady, it can be all kinds of different things depending on where you're hanging out here. I've met a lot of great, fun, helpful people here. I've had nothing but good experiences, occasionally snarky, but that's life.

No way. Rhythm sections are bands of brothers and sisters. It's not like a guitar forum. :meh:

Bassist and drummer friends want to see each other best themselves and that certainly transposes into the cyber world as well.

The only area for potential shady behavior is probably the classifieds. But even there, this board is about as non-shady as the interweb gets.

That poster (a longtime member) was being sarcastic. He said this forum was super shady so he understands why someone wouldn’t post their real name, and then immediately posted his real name.

Your username will now be changed from “BadJazz” to “BadSarcasmDetection.”

And yours should be changed to "BadSpellingDectection"....:D....

    So....Anyway....About this "Rolex".....

  12. That's because the only one who notices the bassist got better is the drummer and the only person to notice the drummer is improving is the bassist.

  18. The forum isn't shady. That is smoke that is still lingering from a burn I received. It had to do with the TB Comic Judges and was one of the most creative posts I have read. I didn't get mad. I did get impressed.
