    Who is the bassist?...he looks familiar, but this is an older clip.

  9. I think I just got tendonitis watching that. :eek:

    That´s NHOP allright. Long time member of the Oscar Peterson Trio. He was one of the true upright virtuosos and had a really beautiful, sweet, singing tone that doesn´t really come across on that video (or at that tempo :smug: ).

    Actually, he turned that gig down. He was offered the gig after Ray Brown (the long time member of OP's group) left, but he wanted to stay in Denmark.
