I found this G&L SB-2 on Ebay for $400, so I jumped at it. It's a 1990, Black Beauty with the matching black alloy bridge and pickguard. Aside from some surface belt wear on the back, this bass is in like new condition. Nice aging lacquer on the neck. It even has all the case candy! I plugged it in and gave it a test drive--tremendous tone, no noticeable noise, and great sustain. This may sound crazy, but my basses are alive to me, they have personalities and I have been trying to get down to just two--my Modulus Genesis and a project P I'm finishing--so I could feel connected to my instruments. But this is such a great bass--it just feels great to hold. I think it's here to stay.
