This sort of short, punchy synth sound in a one-spot boss-size pedal?

    An octaver that has both octave up and down will get you most of that. I personally recommend the TC Sub N Up.

    Make room, nothing sounds like the bass microsynth and it's so worth it! I just got one a few weeks ago and I can't believe I didn't own one 20 years ago. I'm selling my keyboard now because this gets so much closer to the sound I want and I am not much of a keyboardist. I'm going to try running it into an octave like he did, it's an interesting idea.
