Definitely one of the great musical moments in history, IMO.

More people than not look at me funny when I mention Prince is one of my favorite guitar players.

I think in some cases people look at Prince as a pop star more than anything else. Some folks simply might not like his guitar playing.

And some folks are just haters.

Prince’s guitar set his pop above the typical assembly line disposable product. It’s like hearing SRV’s solo in Bowie’s “Let’s Dance”, you know it’s not just being mailed in. Granted, pop is not your usual spot for killer guitar work but there are a few exceptions, but to fully appriciate Prince’s guitar genius you really needed to see him live, which i did at every opportunity. While i’m sad he’s gone, i can still treasure the joy of seeing him live.

And here is one of those exceptions i mentioned.

Prince could sure play some mean guitar when he wanted to. Always wished he'd do it more - he should've put out a series of "Shut Up And Play Yer Guitar" albums like Zappa did...

Agree to all the above. Hopefully something will emerge from his vault like. “Shut Up and Play Yer Guitar”

I just heard this again on The Beatles Channel on Sirius XM a few days ago - what an AMAZING performance.

Let's be honest - Most of the "jam" sessions that take place on during the RRHOF end up being a mess (like the RRHOF.) This one will shine forever.

Prince is a consummate musician...most people are only vaguely familiar with his stuff (what they have heard on the radio).

Was this a RRHOF jam...or is it from "The Concert For George"?

RRHOF. The Concert for George was held at the Royal Albert Hall, which looks much different.

Prince play his guitar more?? Prince did nothing but play guitar as well as keys and bass in every live performance. Every song he recorded, he basically played every instrument.
