OK. You want to post pictures so they pop right up, but you don't want to spring for PhotoPoint? Here's a way. First, post your thread or reply and add the picture download in the regular way. Submit your post. Go to your post and right-click on the link to your download. Select "Properties." Block the URL of your picture, and copy it. Now click on the "Edit/Delete" button to edit your post. When it comes up, paste the URL below your text but above the link. Type img in square brackets in front of the URL and /img in square brackets at the end. Submit your changes. There y'go. Now if Paul would just work it so our pictures come right up automatically, we wouldn't have to go to all this hassle, would we?

I do it all the time. But I only use the pic on TB. I like it when people see the pic on the thread & not have to click & open another window.

  13. Don't use photopoint :)

Just put it on a webspace account.. or.. do the same as i did.. buy a server and hook it up to the web :)

  14. The only thing not working here is that people are still downloading the image from the link, thus defeating the prupose.

(christ I sound like Bruce  )

I know this is late... But I am wondering if it shows downloaded every time someone views a thread that it is shown in?

  18. Brilliant!

I sure hope it doesn't get you into trouble, munji - that's the slickest trick I've seen in awhile.

If I were gonna add something it might be to remove the link to the download from the bottom of the post (can you do that? I never tried).

Allan, what I do is attach my pictures one time, and I keep a reference in Notepad with the urls. So, anytime I want to post them again, I just reference the original attachment, like this:

If you delete the attachment that you referenced, the link won't work.
