One thing I dislike about this and many other reviews is that people tend to play exotic or basses most people don't have, and therefor have no idea how much is the bass vs the strings. In the end, you can't tell what the strings might sound like on a more common bass that everyone can relate to. Other than that it's a nice video.

Also people tend to over play - seeming to be more concerned with showing their technical competence than demoing the string

It's weird the way that fretless Sandberg is strung up (closeup at 4:11).

And exotic or not, I think this video could have been more useful showing the whole line of strings on the same bass, rather than switching both strings and basses.

But it's still perhaps the best sonic overview of TI bass strings out there so far! It's hard to find good recorded examples of all of their strings.

  6. TI bass strings are so special they need to be experienced, not just heard. ;):D

    Bingo!

I didn't want to be too critical. I love watching/listening to such reviews, but they turn almost useless with the change of instruments, instruments very few have and (one of my favorites) playing harmonics or all around the 12th fret. Those are all excellent strings and could have been showcased more usefully for a broader audience. You would think TI and the player would understand that.
