So I bought a set of Jazz Bass flats from TI a couple of weeks ago. They are for a very over the top and expensive Fretless conversion project. The project is delayed at the moment, I won't be able to afford to finish this project till this summer. While I have this expensive set of strings sitting around, I would love to put them on my Fender Jaguar Bass. I have never played flats before, so I would like to hear how they sound. There is no problem with temporarily putting them on another bass, is there? Their ultimate destination is the fretless, but until then, I would love to hear how they sound on my main bass, the fretted Jaguar. Is there an issue with adjusting the bridge if I install them on the Jaguar and play them for a couple of weeks?
so the intonation would be just adjusting the bridge saddles? I wouldn't have to touch the neck/ truss rod? OK nevermind!!! I got it figured out.
