    Is this the solo gauge?
  3. No, regular gauge. On Upton's page: Gary's thoughts on Spirocore S42 bass strings: "The S42 are the original classic spirocore, the string for that quintessential Ray Brown sound....Ray Brown not included. They are developed for a bass with a longer string length...7/8 and up. Using the longer string lenght on a shorter scaled bass gives us that nice easier to play growly string. As bassists we have been doing this for years not even knowing that the string were developed for a bigger bass!"
  4. What is the gauge? Also, would you be up to selling just the E and A string?
  5. Regular gauge spirocore S42
  6. Sorry, at this stage would rather sell complete set. Make a close offer - I may accept, and it would be nearly as cheap as buying A and E at retail!
  7. I have a seperate listing for the solo gauge, just $160 posted worldwide

Those are Superflexibles Solos. They are smaller gauge than Spiro Solos.
  9. Ok thanks for that info I'm not sure about this as you see the packet says Spirocore and superflexible as well. I know these were the same set favoured by Eugene Wright etc
They work really well as lower tension jazz strings at concert tuning besides obviously use at solo tuning.
