Those holes in my amp..............

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by tresdirnt, Jul 8, 2001.

  1. I have a Laney RBW200 and I rather like it seeing as it replaced a 15watt pile of crap. My friend (meddling guitarists) put his 6 string in the hole and it worked. So did a microphone. Is this damaging my amp? Someone told me it should be fine and it just wouldn't sound to good, that I shouldn't use it at really high volumes. What do you lot know, eh? Thanks
  2. You won't damage your amp any. It will get LOUD with a guitar plugged in so be careful for your speaker, and your ears. The microphone shouldn't be a problem, just that it will likely feed back like crazy. A lot of PA/keyboard/bass amps are very similar, just designed for certain frequencies. But, no, don't worry too much about your amp.
