I went down to the local Guitar Center today to purchase a new strap, and I couldn't resist trying out a Jackson P-J bass that had been in the store for at least 6 mos. It's pearl white, neck through construction, rosewood fretboard, really nice fretwork, Jackson P-J pickups with minitoggle switch for pickup selection, and 2 band active eq.

This is a great bass. It has a great P vibe, and the J pickup soloed had lots of growl to it.

I know that these basses aren't popular due to the demise of the 80's hair bands, but man, what a great bass.

I think they were asking something like #350, but I bet they'd negotiate since it has been there awhile. In fact, it survived a "private" sale - when they open the store late at night and let you in if you have a mailed flyer.

  2. I'll have to bum a ride down to Mission and 9th and check 'em out.

Anyone from Illinois driving to San Francisco?
