I am thinking about trading my guitar amp for one and am curious what those who have it or have played it think about it and it's uses. It will mostly be for practice at my apartment but I'd use it for small gigs or something. I had the rumble 60 before and liked it for what it was. I have an expectation for it to be a little better, especially with the tilt-back design. Thanks in advance.

--It'll seem quite a bit little louder due to the kickback design. I've never played the Rumble 60, but I have played the 75, older 100, newer 150, and 350 designs. They are all decent, if you know how to eq them...which it sounds like you do.

I had the Rumble 60 and all of them are good practice amps. :)

The 60 was just the 12" version of the older 100(which I was in a band with a guy who had one), I'm used to fender solid-state tone/eq, my main concern is whether reliability is still on par. I like that it's tolex now instead of rat-fur although when I saw it today, it's got a few scuffs around the bottom, nothing too bad, but enough to maybe work in my favor when trading my guitar amp.

Since you've played both, what would be your impressions on the 75 compared to the older 100?

I've got a Rumble 350. No complaints. Always sounds really great.

The 100 that I've played had a 15 inch speaker, so it had a "woofiness" to it that could get a little boomy. The 75 didn't have that characteristic, though it could have been the room. The 100 also definitely had more volume. That being said, I could hear myself fine with the 75, over a fairly quiet drummer and two guitar players using 2 x12 solid state combos. I'm cure the kickback design helped.

I owned a Fender Rumble 60, but within a few months there was a problem: scratchy sound. Fender had discontinued the 60 by that point so they game me a bassman 100 combo instead. The bassman sounds a lot better than the rumble did.

  8. I have the 100 with the 15" speaker could hold it's own in a 5 piece Classic Rock band with PA a support no problem Before that I blew up a older Fender Bassman
