seriously thinking about buying a Fender Bassman 400 pro head....played the 400 pro combo last week and this thing sounded fantastic at lower volumes in the store...a great classic old school low end bassy tone (reminded me somewhat of the Ashdown sound)

    a few questions/thoughts:

will this thing be loud enough? (I am playing in a pretty loud rock band and have two Aguilar GS112's)

the 400 pro head is rated at 500 watts at 4 ohms, but my Aguilar's are rated at 8 ohms, will this be a problem?

there are alot of great amps in that price range...would I be better off paying an extra $300 or so and getting a Thunderfunk amp? or perhaps looking for a used Ashdown EVO amp?

Fender amps have supposedly taken a brand new turn in terms of quality with the new Pro series...not sure I wanna take any chances though...
  2. 8 ohms + 8 ohms= 4 ohms 500 watts if those Aggies can handle that much.
