currently i only have a small practice amp and desperatly need an upgrade.

I stumbled accross the following being sold for $75, and wanted to get some thoughts before i start to invest anymore time into this item.

Peavey 240 Retro 5 amp 210 watts with a small tear in the front. Has wheels for easy transport. Dimensions are speaker cabinet: 35”x 24”x 11” and head 20.5” x 9” x 9”.

    here is the link: http://newyork.craigslist.org/mnh/msg/135198425.html
looks a bit old- but for $ 75 is there anyway i can go wrong?

As long as it didn't have any serious issues, I'd certainly buy it for $75.
  3. Absolutely go for it! (assuming it works). Something like this will always be useful somewhere.
  4. Check it out! If it sucks, no harm no foul!

Thats a good deal. Grab it up if it works. Even if you don't end up using it for gigs, you will find a good use somewhere.
