Ok, I'm going to try this guy again and see if it floats any boats. Edit: soundclip added

It is a Light and Lively '51 P slab body rocker I dubbed the Atomic Special. I assembled it in the test kitchens here at emblyCentral. A little help from my guitar guy (soldering and fret dressing);) I admit I just got lucky. The neck fit nice and snug, the ash kicks ash and it's featherweight. This is not a typical '51 thudstick. If Jeff Beck played bass this is what he'd be slingin'. IT IS LIVE.:bassist:(whammy not included).

VERY light and resonant swamp ash body
USAGC rosewood Jazz neck w/ Tele headstock + MOP dots
Custom wound Nordstrand single coil p/u (it's hot)
    Hipshot Ultra Lights
    Gotoh 201 high mass bridge
    Schaller straplocks
    maple tugbar
Some electrical stuff w/ wires attached
    Knobs
    7 lbs 15 oz!!
    9.5 out of 10 condition

I've got $800+ in it. I know that is my cross to bear. $700 will get it. Gig bag included, I do have a like new Fender G+G case for $90 extra. Shipping paid by you.

Photos coming in a 'lil bit.

This one is a honey. Very live, especially in the upper registers. Sustain-o-rama

Thank you, it all fell together with this one.
It's not easy to post it but in the 4+ years since completing it I've gigged it exactly once.

Ehrmegawd, that is REALLY nice, and the sound clip rocks it! Alas, for the lack of a rear body contour,i would be most tempted....that has got to be one of the lightest basses of that kind out there. Best of luck with the sale.

    It's poly.
I am gratified that you would think I'm a builder with a brand.:)
I had a Sadowsky version of this style but I couldn't justify the cost for a bass that wasn't my main instrument. So I put this together just for myself.

I hate to be a nudge, would love to see a full pic. It's beautiful, I've never owned a 51 type, been keeping my eyes on them, and this is very tempting because it's different and appears to have a lot of love in it...
