No, I'm not talking about Talkbass. I'm talking about bedding...sheets. 1000 thread count?! What the hell?!

Rich people are wrapping themselves in this kilo-decadence while suburban prom queens nationwide are tossing and turning in their measly 500 thread count egyptian cotton potato sacks.

How can you fit that many freaking threads in an inch anyway? Are they doing some kind of nanoweaving here?

1000TC is just over the line. We're out of control, folks.

Oh, crap. That just means bedwetters will have more puddling, and less absorbtion. What kind of blasphemy is this???
  4. Oh no. I had not considered this. Now- in all seriousness- what can we do?

I was going to make a joke about how my bed sheets are so expensive I just sleep on sheep, but it came out all wrong and embarrassing.

I dunno, man. I don't splurge on much, but bedding is one thing I'm not afraid to drop a little coin on.

    This is an Outrage!

How do we sit by and allow this to happen?

How do we even sleep at night knowing this type of activity is going on.

    What is going on!

Our sheets are only 440. When we get new ones, they will be at least 600 - probably 1,000. There's nothing like nice sheets when you're tired. I didn't think so for a while, but once you've had them...

    1000 threads and silk.

Nothing but the best for me.

We recently got some good count bedsheets and the difference is enormous. Our 300 count sheets feel like sandpaper now. When you amortize the cost of the higher count sheets over thier lifespan it comes out to fractions of a penny per day to sleep on them. They're totally worth the up front costs.

  19. I just picked up the latest 1000 count bed of nails, and, MAN!, what a smooth feel! Much better than the old 6-count! Less blood-letting involved, and I'm sleeping much better now that it doesn't keep waking me up by poking me in the ribs! :spit:

Highly recommended for those with back problems! :D

Heh. I thought sheets were sheets and just varied by materials.
