Show us your Thumb..... BASSES! See who's got one of the cool basses of modern bass... i guess. I regret to say that i do not have one... no $$$. anywho, postem y'all!
Well I dont own it no more but here was my 1990 thumb which headed down to memphis in exchange for a Moon bass.
Alright here's a dumb question I'm not afraid to ask. What gives with the thumb basses? I noticed the bridge is V'd out. Were these built for primaraly slappin and poppin? I've been looking at these alot lately and you know how music store guys are, (they never seem to know **** except how much commision they will make of ya). Have any of you guys seen any with active double coil pickups? I am primarly a pick player playing mostly rock. I would like to use my fingers more, but I lack the cordination to play fast with my screw you finger. So I use my thumb the most, which works pretty darn good but when i'm playin alot of 16th notes my thumb sometimes gets stuck between the strings and that hurts not to mention it screws up the song. Anyway I'm thinkin these thumb basses might give a little more room between the strings without giving it a tree trunk of a fretboard to master. Am I off base here? What do you guys think? Thanks
Call me ignorant because Im not a big Warwick fan, but don't all Thumb basses pretty much look alike?
davidmwilson Nice Thumb you have there, I have lightened up the photo a bit, hope you don't mind Regards Matthew
no, that's perfectly ok. My bassment doesn't have the best lighting, and I've never gotten up to speed with photoshop. thanks!
Are you looking at a 4 or 5? The Thumb 5 has pretty narrow spacing - 17mm vs normal 19mm spacing. The Streamer 5 has 20mm spacing.
