Thunderbird Club

House did fine. Neighbor's bigazz tree fell into my yard,; big effin' branches kept it from hitting the house. Other neighbor and his Dad came over with chainsaws and 5.5 hours later, big honkin' pile out by the street. Prolly a week or two B4 it gets picked up. WM has higher priorities ATM.
Good to hear you dodged the worse of it.

Hah! I just stumbled across a funny alignment while watching a documentary on "Area 51" in Nevada. The secret military base began in 1955 as a test-site for the U2 during the cold-war. Its code name was "AQUATONE" - I thought, what a great name for a surf band! - "The Aquatone's". Then I Goggled it figuring it's definitely been used, and it was - in 1956! But not surf - doo-wap!

Never move Mike. You seem to be in a good spot there.

Every time I think I've found a good band name, it turns out it's been used. Except for punk-rock band names. I have plenty of those:D

Exactly - especially post internet. At one point I thought I had a great name for our edgy/improv/proggy band and it hadn't been taken/registered yet, and when I brought it to the project - the others were silent. ??? The name was "Cicada Killer" - a big wasp that specifically preyed on cicada's when they came out of hibernation every 7 years. It just sounded menacing and fit the tone of our playing. We don't have cicada's in CA - it was a mid-west thing. I'm very nostalgic for their droning waves of buzzing. Anyway.., the guy who was renting us the rehearsal space had a young daughter that he named (wait for it...) - Cicada. Only in California.

Reminds me of the Katydids, a fave of mine from the early 90’s.
