I just saw this pic on Instagram and am curious if anyone recognize the bass Thundercat is playing here. On other pictures you can see it has a three bolt neck and ”skunk stripe” in the back! Not sure if it is some kind of Fender or something more exotic.

Elegee is the name brand of the bass. It's 28" scale length. Made over seas. You can find them on Reverb for $1100 or so.

As far as these bases go, there is way more to the story here. Gary at the Amp Shop and Bass Exchange in North Hollywood commissioned them. They sold out the initial order, mostly to pro studio folks.
I have a one piece swamp ash, (Active/Passive) (Marcus Miller style) and it is killer bass! The fit and finish is very nice.
They are hand made by a master luthier in the Philippines and feature all custom made hardware for that bass. BTW; Howard Ulyate made the pickups (Amazing!), and these are very limited. Not toys, but serious tools.
