I bought this here on Talkbass from a fellow member a few weeks back. It has now just started to make a noise like bacon frying. I can turn the gain down to zero and the volume to 5 and hear it. I believe this was bought new in March 2005. Anyone else had a problem like this?

Go straight to the source. Drop Dave a line. He's pretty good at getting back to customers quite fast.
  3. Did you take the feet off the bottom and put the screws back in the holes?

No, the feet are still on it. It's not in a rack.

Bacon frying sound: most likely a bad capacitor somewhere.
