Does the DI on the Thunderfunk TFB550 do a good enough job or do I need a separate DI box. I've been looking at the Passive Pro DI from Radial with the Jensen transformer. But do I need this or can I get by with the one from the T-funk? I'm not up enough on DI's to know. Thanks! Jeff
I've used the TF DI with great result...though, it sounds better to me when I run my the tube DI from my Aguilar DI.
The low impedence DI on the TF sounds great IMO. However, it is 'post EQ' only, which some soundpersons don't like. I run my TF relatively flat, so it's not an issue. However, if you are using an significant EQ, it might not be to the taste of the sound people. Lately, I've been taking the high impedence pre EQ direct out into the house DI, and it seems to make everyone happy.
