thunderfunk fit in a roto rack?

I am hauling around too much empty rack space. OK, not all that much extra 4 space deeper Gator case. Doesn't not fit comfortably in my spacious standard cab mini truck (with mismatched camper, oh yeah, I roll like that). Anyway, though I heard someone mention that the older thunderfunks fit in the shallow el-cheapo skb roto racks, but not the newer tfb's. Is this correct? Are the newer ones deeper? I suppose I could just pop my head out and jaunt down to guitar center or some such, but I thought that I'd try to save myself a trip.

If not that the roto rack, what other compact racks do you use?

  2. Correct. The newer TF's are about an inch deeper (I believe 10 1/2"), and will not fit in the shallow rack. I have mine in a standard SKB two space rack...

Thanks, guess I'll look into a standard depth 2 spacer.

  4. I'm assuming you have one of the newer ones. The oldest version of the 420 will fit... they are 9 1/2 inches deep.

    Yep, newer 550.
