Been playing TI jazz flats on my P and am absolutely hooked. I'm now looking at a 34" 5 string and would like to equip it with TIs (JF 345)as well.

My question: Has anyone been using JFs on their 34" fiver? Since TIs are already low-tension, it would seem that the low B might feel too floppy on a 34". Hopefully, this isn't the case but I'd like to hear first-hand before I spend the $ on a new set.

    thoughts?

    thanks

Thanks for the question and I think you're in for another treat here. The .100 gauge E string that your used to has 34.39lbs of tension on it. Even though the B goes all the way up to a .136 gauge, the tension is 34.83lbs. No more floppy low B! Well, at least when compared to the E and the balance between the two. Feel free to call or email here if you need more info.
