Due to repeated tuning, my school bass's bridge is being pulled towards the fingerboard end. One side of its feet are off the surface of the bass by about 2mm. Should I be concerned? And how do I fix it?

  2. Don't worry too much, it happens all the time. I just hope the bridge isn't warped. To fix it, You can use the Bob Gollihur (hail Bob!) Karate chop method, or you could loosen the strings slightly and ease the bridge back into place. Another good idea is to remove the strings one by one,(not all at once, the sound post will probably drop)and put some graphite in the string slots. Just use a pencil, if that's all you've got. This will allow the string to move without pulling the bridge with it.
