I just want to know if any of you in your years of playing have figured out how to stop a B string from buzzing. Is there a better type of string to use for this? A certain ammount of relief in the neck? I have a 35inch neck on my peavey cirrus and the B string buzzes quite alot. I think this is a problem with most 5 string basses though.
  2. I use a taper wound B string on my Fender 5. I make sure my action is set high enough that I do not get fret buzz. I find a good setup will make just about any bass 4, 5 or even 6 string play well.

Does the string buzz when played open, does it buzz more on certain frets or all up and down the board?

What string brand and gauge do you currently have on your Peavey Cirrus?

If you could help us out with being more specific as to where the buzz is, we might be able to offer you better advice/opinions!
